LEGO builds a new deal with Disney to bring its classic park trains to life.
LEGO has unveiled a Disney Train model inspired by the classic locomotive that travels throughout Disney Parks around the world.
The LEGO Disney Train comes with four buildable cars, the engine, tender, passenger car, and a parlor car. Each of the cars has room for Minifigures to sit. The parlor car comes with realistic interior detailing including armchairs, tables complete with flower vases and a small tea set. In total, the train measures 77cm when connected on the 16-piece track. LEGO’s set also includes app-controlled functionality, which allows builders to use their smart device to drive the train forward, reverse and emit realistic sound effects.
Included with the train is a replica of a Disney Parks-inspired train station to build with models of miniature locomotives and picture frames with details inspired by the actual stations. Inside the toy train station building is an array of brick-built furnishings and details, including draped windows, wall clock, ceiling chandelier, and a tower room. The train station measures more than 39 cm in height and 35 cm in length.
Disney’s collaboration follows another recent LEGO announcement for a set inspired by the ‘90s TV show “Friends.”
