Workplace Conditions Assessment (WCA)

Brands and international buyers are demanding more effective measures for evaluating suppliers’ workplace conditions. Factories are also becoming more proactive in finding ways to benchmark themselves and track progress against competitors and national standards. We have seen a significant shift towards greater transparency and the implementation of sophisticated, yet practical, tools for assessing continuous improvement. The Workplace Conditions Assessment (WCA) program provides a powerful, cost-effective solution for companies and facilities seeking to improve workplace conditions efficiently and in accordance with widely accepted industry standards and best practices.

Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA)

Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) is one of the most widely used ethical audit formats in the world.

SMETA is an audit methodology, providing a compilation of best practice ethical audit techniques. It is designed to help auditors conduct high-quality audits that encompass all aspects of responsible business practice, covering Sedex’s four pillars of Labour, Health and Safety, Environment and Business Ethics.
SMETA is designed for suppliers to share one audit with multiple customers, meeting multiple customer requirements and reducing duplication in ethical auditing.

SMETA has three elements:

1. A common Best Practice Guidance on conducting ethical trade audits
2. A common Audit Report format
3. A common Corrective Action Plan format
Nearly 20,000 SMETA audits are uploaded onto the Sedex platform every year.
Each SMETA audit carries a unique reference code to ensure the SMETA audit is appropriately validated. It can be used in a regular site auditor in the Sedex Offline Audit Tool. SMETA is available in English, Spanish and Chinese.

Forest Stewardship Council™

The Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC™) is a nonprofit organization that set standards for forestry practices with the aim of promoting environmentally responsible and socially beneficial forestry. Wood products such as furniture can be labeled as FSC™ certified if they meet the high standards set by the organization. RedRidge is also a FSC™ certificated company.
To be certified, the flow of the wood material – from the forest to the customer – must be monitored to demonstrate its origins. This evidence is known as Chain of Custody (CoC).

Walt Disney Certificate Fama

FAMA: FAMA is mainly about global counter-terrorism because the United States is not allowed to import anything from any country or region where there are suspected of terrorist incidents.

FAMA need to submit to China Customs when the factory ship the goods, to prove that their products are authorized particularly through Disney, to make sure not only the factory is in a safe condition, but also the products are safe. The most import is that China Customs also need this to prove the products are safe in all aspects., and to ensure that the products are imported in a legal way, instead of counterfeiting Disney brand.
