Portraits of Tudor monarchs are now available for commercial licensing.

The National Portrait Gallery has announced it will represent more than 3,000 portraits from the National Trust collection for commercial licensing and reproduction.

The Gallery holds the most extensive collection of portraits in the world, more than 330,000 in total, and is expanding the content it makes available for licensing to include works of portraiture from other British institutions and archives. Newly available works include portraits of Henry VIII, Elizabeth I and Tudor monarchs.

The Gallery has previously licensed its collection for items such as a t-shirt line from apparel manufacturer Coast.
